Decluttered more of Anna’s closet today. Today was mostly stuffed animals and some figurines. I didn’t have a ton of time today so I did something that wouldn’t take too long! I found some of my old stuffed animals from when I was a kid that I gave to the girls! It made me a little emotional and giving them a good hug felt so comforting. I was able to declutter a handful of baby items that the girls no longer need and I don’t feel a need to hold onto either. I had two bags going- one was for trash which is just broken things or things missing pieces and the other for donations. I try to donate as much as I can when I’m decluttering! Not only am I glad to be able to help others out, it also helps me feel better knowing things are going to be used by someone! Decluttering before Christmas makes such a difference for our family! Comment “ declutter ” and I’ll message you the link for everything I used to organize this space.I try to do this every year so we will really be able to enjoy all of the holidays and not just be overwhelmed by too much stuff. I’m working my way through Anna’s closet and her room right now. I’m also planning to do Emily’s room, my kitchen, and hopefully a few other spaces before Christmas. I definitely have my work cut out for me but I know I will really appreciate this once I’m done. We have stored so much baby stuff in here that she’s completely outgrown so I’m really excited to make more room for things she currently uses in here. I was really focused on decluttering toys today, especially before Christmas time! We will be donating everything we can that is in good shape and I ended up with a whole bag to donate!I was able to leave some empty space too so when she gets new things for Christmas, it will be easy to give them a home! There were a few things I checked with her on to be sure it was okay to donate and there were some I knew were not being used and could go. I’m planning to work through her closet in small sections each day. Definitely planned to show more cleaning in this video but the pie making took over. I love getting ready to have company over though! I got some of my cleaning done today and I’ll finish up the rest tomorrow. I made a peanut butter pie today and I’ll make the apple pie tomorrow morning, but we did get the pie crust made for that one. Baking is something that I grew up loving doing with my mom and now getting to bake with my girls is such a joy for me! My perspective has changed so much about inviting people into our home even though it’s not perfect.
