I knew something had to change if I actually wanted to declutter our home. Having so much stuff was really starting to impact my mental state. I already struggle with anxiety but having so much stuff really added to that for me.
So in January, I just started. I worked on changing my mindset to create a home that serves our family in our current season of life. And instead of attempting to declutter an entire room at a time, I would do one drawer or one cabinet at a time. It’s been such a slow process, but so rewarding and it really adds up to make such a big difference.
Now that I have a solid system in place for how to declutter, I’ve been making my way through our home this past year. I still have a few more spaces to get through, but it’s made such a big difference already! I have shared so much of my journey decluttering our home on TikTok and Instagram, but I’m going to start sharing some of the behind the scenes and how I actually declutter here on my blog.
